Because we know we all can be a little hard on ourselves sometimes.

  1. Remind Yourself That You’re Doing Your Best

We all have those days where it just feels like nothing could possibly go our way. That is normal! That is human. But those are the days where we need to be kind to ourselves.

2. I Am Not Perfect, and That is OK

Often times I will spend more time than I should looking back at moments from the day when I should have said something better, looked better, acted nicer; it’s just a never-ending cycle of not giving yourself enough credit for what you are doing.

But in reality, no one notices. Think about it– do you sit and over calculate everything someone else does? No, you don’t. So don’t do that to yourself.

3. Confidence is Key

Something that I have had to remind myself over the years is that you can be shy but still have confidence. I have always been a more shy person, but that doesn’t automatically mean insecurity.

Be confident in your voice, your thoughts and the way you express yourself. Because that is what makes you who you are.

4. Remind Yourself that No is an Answer

I have so many people-pleasing friends that genuinely struggle with the fact that they can’t make everyone happy. As much as I love them for that, and all of their good hearts in general, It is a dangerous habit.

Sometimes in the midst of everything going on around you , it is more than OK to put yourself first sometimes. Don’t think that every answer you give has to be a yes.

5. Give Yourself a Pat on the Back

I can’t stress it enough– you have to congratulate yourself on the little things.

Not every day should be a competition with yourself.

You handled a bad situation with grace? Great job.

You scored an A on the test you studied so hard for? You absolutely deserve that pat on the back.

So in conclusion, take it from me and be nice to yourself. You are doing great, and you deserve it.

I want to challenge you to try these out and let me know in the comments if it changed your overall attitude during the day.

Remember to be kind to yourselves.

I often forget to encourage myself and forget the power of a positive reminder. I really like your blog and will try this out!
